Haiku Friday: Ode To Twitter

I’m Twitter obsessed
“What are you doing?” beckons
Mini-blogging rocks

One hundred forty
characters is all you have
You must be concise

So many new friends
You can find anyone there –
Even TweetJeebus

Haiku Friday: A Surreal Experience

Yesterday I was
on my college campus and
walking to my car

“Hey, baby,” he said.
I looked up to see a car
right in front of me.

He had long dark hair
And he couldn’t have been more
than twenty years old

“Do you want a ride?”
His eyebrows raised as he said
this bad pick up line.

I glanced behind me
Who, me? I thought to myself
Is this a cruel joke?

He was serious.
Didn’t he know I’m at least
ten years his elder?

I was tired and
didn’t look my best for sure.
Could this shirt have helped?

Mominatrix shirts: they’ll make younger men hit on you.
My thanks to you, dude,
I don’t know why you did it,
But I am flattered.

It’s been a long time
Since a guy who isn’t my
husband hit on me.

You helped me to feel
sexy again. I’m more than
just a frumpy mom!

And so I must say
I am very sorry that
I laughed in your face.

Haiku Friday: Young Jedi

Haiku Friday

Daddy-daughter time:
She is a Jedi fighter.
He is a Sith lord.

A flash of blue light
crashing against red light in
the lightsaber duel

It’s Star Wars at home
She’s never seen the movies
But it is still fun

This is what happens
When your husband’s a geek and
Shares it with your kid

Haiku Friday: Spring Break

I’m on Spring Break, but
with two kids to care for its
not much of a break

Tomorrow is the
start of Cordy’s Spring Break, too.
My stress is doubled.

It wouldn’t be so
bad, except the weatherman
is predicting this:

Rain, rain, rain and rain
So much for hitting the zoo
Indoor fun only.

Still, it could be worse –
It could be the forecast from
Two short weeks ago:

(If you haven’t yet, feel free to ask me a question. I’ll start answering them in a day or two.)
