Waiting for the bus:
Her teacher reported some rough moments during the day, including at least one time out, but overall Cordy had a good day. She says she wants to go back tomorrow. (And hopefully that will hold true tomorrow morning.)
So it seems that the only fallout we had on the first day of school was from Mira. I had to spend the day with a grumpy two year old who was pissed off that she didn’t get to ride the bus and go to school like her sister.
Now I only need to figure out why Cordy barely touched her lunch? Normally she’d take off someone’s arm before they got between her and her Annie’s fruit snacks, but the package wasn’t even opened today. And the sandwich and Goldfish were half eaten. Weird.
She is so, so beautiful.
I’m glad she had a good day! And I hope they continue to be good.
I know what you mean about the annoyed younger sibling though. Quinn asked me, like, seventy-five times today if it was time to go to the bus stop to pick up his brothers already. I just can’t compete with their entertainment value.
Adorable pictures! 😀 Glad to hear things went OK.
Yeah Cordy! I am glad she left smiling and came home smiling! I think lunch would be nerves … give her a while to get used to it maybe?! Good luck with Mira!
I’ve been all worried and wanted to check back to see how Cordy did – this is fantastic! Except the low calories part but that is how those of us with skinny little people get our lunchboxes back e very day, and they are still growing albeit slowly, so . . . she had a great day! Hallelujah!
Is that a school bus seat belt? Man, I really hope so. That is one part of my kids starting school that freaks me right out. I remember slipping and sliding all over the pleather seats when I was a kid.
I am in tears seeing those smiles for you…and the report sounds Great for a first day of whole new situations and that hour long bus ride! You Go Cordy!!!
My daughter didn’t eat anything on her first day this year…now she’s chowing down again. I bet it’s just the first day jitters too.
Oh my goodness – look at how happy she is coming home. How wonderful for you both. I hope she continues to stay excited for school…well, as much as any of us did anyway:)
She was probably too busy gabbing with her new friends to eat. 🙂
She looks so amazing! I love it!
Glad her first day was a success. BB had a great first day until it was time to leave. Figures.
Wow, she’s getting so big!! And I totally know what you mean about the youngest feeling like they are getting gypped. I have a 3 year old here whining all day saying they “miss CJ”. Fun times.
She looks so cute! Glad that her first day was a success! Here’s hoping to a whole school year of them.
Oh, she seems so excited in the photos. That’s great. Glad to hear it went well for her.
That girl is gorgeous!
So glad she had an okay first day.
Is she eating in a cafeteria now? She might be distracted by the hubbub. Eating lunch with 100 other kids is a lot different than eating a snack with 10 kids you know from your class. My son is having a terrible time eating lunch at school right now, even though he did all right during snack time at preschool, and I’m convinced it’s the noise and distractions of the cafeteria.
(My kid is NEVER a great eater, as you know, but ditto on the Annie’s fruit snacks. He’d fight a rhino for those, so when they’re coming home unopened I get concerned.)
She is adorable! I’m so glad it went so well!
