between me and the end of
this quarter of school
I was crazy to
think that statistics would be
not much extra work
With my days being
so full, I often forget
I’m a student too
One nursing class and
one math class have me thankful for
ending this quarter
Assuming I pass
these exams, two more quarters
until I’m all done
And best of all: I’ll
never take more than one class
at a time again
Why I ever thought I could take statistics while deep into my nursing program I’ll never know. I put it off for way too long – taking this class before I started the formal program, and before I had two kids, would have been the wiser choice.
But after three months of multi-tasking hell, the end is in sight. Two more exams, one for each class, must be taken in the next five days. Once those are done, I can relax and enjoy the three weeks off before classes begin again. Yep, three weeks off, with only my family and my blogging to keep me occupied. (OK, maybe it’s not so much of a break.)
Two more quarters, two more classes, and then I’m done.
To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:
1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.
2. Sign the Mister Linky below with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your main blog URL). DON’T sign unless you have a haiku this week. If you need help with this, please let me know.
3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button at the top.
REMEMBER: Do not post your link unless you have a haiku this week! I will delete any links without haiku!
Oh, I remember Statistics. And I only took it for psych. Good luck with your exams! I’m glad you’ll only have to take one class at a time from now on.
Good luck on your exams! One class at a time sounds really doable. Yay for the light at the end of the tunnel of multi-tasking!
I didn’t realize you were in school while hosting a blog and writing and and and….
I remember those days of working full time, being a mother of three and being in school to get my masters degree. Not an easy time of juggling.
Stay strong you will finish this race and when you do it feels sooooo good. Best of luck on your exams. I’m sure you will do fine.
Whew, sounds like a lot at once, but good luck!
Congratulations on the almost end of the quarter! Good luck on your exams!
I just had finals a few weeks ago and it wasn’t as bad as usual, but I have to take Math next quarter and I am dreading that! Good luck and enjoy your time off!!!
Like Karen, I remember Statistics … and it wasn’t easy. Good luck on your exams … the end is in sight, right? That’s a good thing ;–)
My first Haiku today is on my newest blog Happily Retired Gal. I’m working on other Haiku posts and will return to add the links when they’re published.
I know it’s bad, but I actually liked the Stats classes I took. Then again, my dad is a Psych Stats Professor. Hehe. 😉 I also taught Research Design & Analysis (obvious Stats component) while I was a TA at Wake Forest U during Grad School.
And yet, the thought of taking it again with 2 kids and an online slew of jobs?
AW, HELL NO.
So, you are inspiring! I’m amazed that you can do it all and keep (most of) your sanity. Enjoy your time off – you deserve it! 🙂
How exciting to be that close to finishing your degree!
Good, good luck! And thank goodness you’ll have three “free” weeks to enjoy.
I’m so glad I’m done with school for a while! Good luck!
I’m playing along with the Haiku for the very first time.
That’s wonderful–good luck!!
Wow, I can’t imagine juggling that much. My haiku for this week seems even more frivolous than it did before I read your post! Good luck on the exams. How will you celebrate when they’re over?
All the best for your exams, torture if you ask me. My Haiku is up and thank you to everyone who came by my blog last week and left such welcoming and encouraging comments. Bless you! 🙂
Ugh! Hated finals! Best of luck.
You have nailed the multi-tasking skill so well! I am sure when these exams are over you will feel as if your new stage of study will be a breeze!
Wishing you happiness!
I also remember stats – never cared for that one. At this point be glad you’re still in school – I’m graduating in a week (congrats to me!) but all hospitals in the metro where I live have COMPLETELY frozen ALL hiring (good luck to me!) Best of luck on your finals and enjoy Xmas break!
So sorry, my link led to last weeks Haiku. This link will take you to the right place. 🙂
thanks for the prompt. 🙂
I remember statistics. Not fondly.
I’m so glad the end is near for me with stats- the final is monday! It’s really not that bad and will be helpful in the future because our world, the news and everything in between is filled with statistic data.
