Time to check up on Bloglines –
O M F’in G!
posts to read. And yet I can
not hit Mark All Read
My weekend plans are
set – I will wade through these
posts, reading each one
But please don’t hope for
a comment on each, ‘cuz I’m
not a fast reader
It’s true. I cannot bring myself to hit Mark All Read, because I fear I’ll miss some important detail of someone’s life. So instead I will hide out this weekend and read through everything, skimming at times, but making sure each post goes past my eyes. I hate having such a backlog, because I feel like I’m not doing my part to be a good bloggy citizen.
To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:
1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.
2. Sign the Mister Linky below or at Jennifer’s blog with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). DON’T sign unless you have a haiku this week. If you need help with this, contact Jennifer or myself.
3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button at the top.
REMEMBER: Do not post your link unless you have a haiku this week! We will delete any links without haiku!
At least you have an excuse. A totally awesome in every way excuse. 🙂
Honey, sometimes you just have to have fun and then NOT punish yourself afterwards. 😉

Yikes! That’s a lot of posts! Hope you didn’t have much else planned for the weekend 😉
If you want to skip me, that’s OK! I am just glad you enjoyed yourself! That’s very important for the spirit!
Happiness always!
Gemma
i feel guilty leaving this comment. like maybe i’m adding to your load. 😀
holy crap you are quite the internet sensation, eh?
(i cant stop thinking in haiku now)
I empathize … have been slowly whittling down the unread messages in Google Reader for weeks now, am averaging around 300 or so (as opposed to the 1000+ I averaged a month ago). I hope you catch up more quickly ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
Hey! How come we didn’t meet each other last weekend??
true, one thousand posts
can be overwhelming but
glass of wine will help
Oh you poor/lucky thing…I agree with Catherine that a glass/bottle/case of wine might be in your future!
Yeah, I can’t mark all as read either. I feel incomplete. haha
I am swagless but at least not haikuless… Also I am amazed that you can plan to spend the weekend catching up on reading. Do your kids nap or something?? And your husband too? I am on call 24/7 on weekends.
I feel your pain. I can’t make myself hit mark read either. Thanks for talking to me while looking at the Roomba. I am glad I got to thank you for your tips. They were so helpful.
Sounds like you’ll be busy this weekend! Put your feet up with a glass of your favorite drink 🙂
I do the same thing…sometimes I don’t read the whole post on every site, but I at least check in!
I’m nowhere near close to getting through all my bloglines feeds. I swear they will swallow me whole pretty soon — there’s so many!
I’m there, too. Except I don’t have that much backlog. But still..
And I skipped HF this week. I feel so….empty.
