Daddy-daughter time:
She is a Jedi fighter.
He is a Sith lord.
A flash of blue light
crashing against red light in
the lightsaber duel
It’s Star Wars at home
She’s never seen the movies
But it is still fun
When your husband’s a geek and
Shares it with your kid
To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:
1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.
2. Sign the Mister Linky below or at Jennifer’s blog with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). DON’T sign unless you have a haiku this week. If you need help with this, contact Jennifer or myself.
3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button at the top.
REMEMBER: Do not post your link unless you have a haiku this week! We will delete any links without haiku!
Geeky dads are the best! They play all the cool games.
Where did you get those lightsabers? They are awesome!
Princess Leia and Darth Vader? Lovely shots. Daddy’s girls are the best!
Anon – Barnes and Noble carries them online: http://tinyurl.com/33kkrm
You can also find them on eBay. They’re called ForceFX lightsabers.
Wow. Yours light up! The one my son parades around with doesn’t. Geeky dads are the best at still acting like kids, aren’t they?
Looks like a real geeky good time. ๐ I had plastic light sabers when I was little too. I feel old.
That’s too cute!
there’s nothing like geek bonding.
Christina, my 12 year old son is a light-saber adept. He could be a drum major, honestly. The things he can do with that toy, twirling it in the air and catching it again without looking . . . amazing.
Glad your husband is getting the daughter started on the skilz early. ๐
I’m a Jedi Master. For real.
That’s awesome!
Now THAT is one fun Dad. How fun!
Love it! Happy Friday!
That’s awesome. Are those the super freak Star Wars collectors light sabers? They put our plastic ones to shame.
Very nice. ๐
May the force be with you!!!
They look like they are having a lot of fun! Daddy/daughter time is awesome! ๐
even worse when the mummy is just as geeky as the daddy! Not that I’m talkin about myself or anything… *whistles inocently*
Great pics and Ku ๐
Oh I can totally see this in my future as well. ๐
Greatest haiku EVER. I am a bit of a geek myself…your Young Jedi is adorable too. The force appears strong within her.
That is so cute! I love the action pics ๐
He’s starting her off early!
hahahah okay so back when I commented on your normal wedding I was dying to say that I really expected a Star Wars theme wedding, but I really wasn’t sure if you were into Star Wars, and now, I’m laughing so hard because I can still totally picture you in a princess Leia wedding dress. he he he. I love when kids take on their dads hobbies.
My husband is a geeky dad! I love it. The kids are probably interested in things that I wouldn’t have shown them which makes them a little smarter! Btw..I think my Haiku this week improved!
It’s good being a kid and having a kid to play with! Use the force, young jedi!
Star Wars RULES here too
Gotta love those light sabers
How fun to watch them.
Misguided Mommy,
We didn’t do the Star Wars wedding, but we did enter the reception to the Throne Room/Award Ceremony music from the end of the original Star Wars. The DJ timed it so that the crescendo hit just as we walked through the doors.
It was awesome.
I love it! Geeks rule. ๐
Geek or no โฆ itโs cool
seeing them together in
play having such fun ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
The force is strong with this one. lol Great pictures! We’re a family of trekkies, but have great love for Star Wars also. ๐ฎ )
Great photos! I’ve had a few of those battles…they’re fun with lights off, except for when I get cracked on the knuckles!
Those are the kinds of memories that’ll last forever. Who could look at those pictures and not smile?
