Husband snores loudly
Cat meows, Mira kicks me
My nighttimes lack sleep
Now it is silent
Finally I fall asleep
BEEP BEEP BEEP! Shoot me.
Eyes show weariness
The curse of the light sleeper
Coffee fills the void
Thanks to those who played along last week – can’t wait to see this week’s crop of haiku! If you want to join us this week, click the button above for all of the details.
ok, i’m playing. could have used some more inspiration, but after i nearly fell out of bed last nite… well, yeah.
Oh how we love coffee!!
I feel your pain. I’ve already been up an hour. Mine both woke up at 5:30.
You’re always allowed to kick me downstairs you know.
Ah, the snoring husband. I know that one well. What is it with men and snoring, anyway?
My favorite line is “coffee fills the void.”
Great haiku! I am joining the fun, too.

Here is mine! http://mayberrymom.blogspot.com/2007/09/to-do-haiku.html
wow – my first attempt was way too hard!!
Your coffee is my Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. How would we get through the day without them?
Mine is up. http://compostermom.blogspot.com/2007/09/friday-haiku.html
I feel guilty because I actually get sleep and yet I’m still desperate for coffee. Maybe I’m still tired from the infant days.
Tatum is now sleeping through the night but it felt like 10 years to get here …
good luck hope you have lots of coffee!
I SO know wha you mean!
My husband snores like a bear.
My daughter wakes up with nighttime coughing fits that they still can’t seem to find an asthma medication that works.
My son at 12 months still does not sleep through the night which finds me plugging in a binky and sometimes getting a bottle.
NEVER MORE THAN 2 HOURS AT A TIME. You would think by now I would be used to it.
An award for you
is at my blog of loving
a brighter day now
My haiku’s up. Where’s the linky?
My husband says I snore, but I swear it’s him waking himself up. 🙂
Great haikus!

I hate that beep beep beep sound.
“My nighttimes lack sleep” – that is the name of the soundtrack of my life.
